[resolved] Update?

Hi.

I came to this forum while looking for a way to rid myself of a Google redirect virus which got through my BD 2011 and has resisted all attempts to remove.

So I happened to read your post on the update to BD 2013.

I followed your instructions about uninstalling 2011 and downloading 2013.

Then I came to this step:

"The installer will automatically retrieve your license key so you will not need to enter it again during the setup"

Well, that ain't happening. It wants my license key. Of course I haven't got one since I bought BD last year and don't have the key anymore. I had about 140 days left on that license.

So what do I do now?

Welcome to the forum Stammel,

All valid licenses from previous versions of Bitdefender including 2011 are compatible with BD 2013. Please repeat the process and insert your license key. The license key is generated on you and your 140 remaining days you may switch to the latest BitDefender version . Don´t forget to use the uninstall tool for previous versions first ( I think that this link familiar to you http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?act...f=241&id=42 - please follow these steps ! ). If you have any issues with the installation, please open a topic here : http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showforum=312 and Tehnical Support from this forum will help you to finished upgrade successfuly.

NOTE:you can find your license key in "My Bitdefender"<click on your email above<chose products, there is your license !

I almost forgot. If you have already tried to perform a upgrade, and you have failed, then you have to use the uninstall tool for Bitdefender 2013. You can download it from here http://www.mediafire.com/?kz4csfp1zoifvwh. After that you follow steps from the post above.
