Antivirus Plus Or Internet Security?

Hello, I have the annoying problem that when browsing the internet on my browser sometimes opens (not talking about pop-up) pages at random ... all alone.

I wanted to avoid this inconvenience by buying bitdefender.

I had two questions in this regard:

1 - If my PC is already infected by this problem (I could not say if it's a virus or something similar) using bitdefender fix it?

2 - For problems like this just the basic antivirus or internet security version is better?

  • Hello and welcome to the forums Marcello68,

This is the picture that I put for you to you can see major differences between Bitdefender 2013 versions. Anti-virus signatures are exactly the same for all versions, so it's your choice which you gonna use it. Also Bitdefender systems scan probably will make to resolved yours issues about infections.

I hope that was helpful for you.

    Best regards.

  • I'm thinking it's a rootkit issue on your part as I had the same problem before but managed to remove it using both BitDefender and Malwarebytes' Antimalware doing the scanning which either or both managed to remove.

    Hello :)

We recommend you to purchase Internet Security, the firewall will protect you from attacks over the internet, port scans and intrusions.

If the file is infected, you can always scan the system to remove all the discovered malware.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate.

    Take care.

    Hello :)

You can reinstall the product over and over on the same system and it will not be considered as a second PC.

    Take care.
