Bdftdif.sys File Causes Blue Screen

Hi,

I installed the 2013 BitDefender Total Security and have not been able to use my computer since. Every time I reboot, after a couple of minutes I get a blue screen and memory dump. The message says the issue may be with the bdftdif.sys file.

Please advise. Uninstalling the program has fixed the crash problem but how can I reinstall and prevent this problem from happening again?

Hi Christian,

I think I was able to figure it out. I still had a Norton parental controls product on my system, and after deleting it, I haven't had any more problems.
