Is that service set on Automatic? Because if it's set on Manual, it won't start.
Also, you should upgrade to a newer version, because BDv9 is a very old version. At least try BitDefender Antivirus Plus v10 (or you can even upgrade to BitDefender Internet Security 2008). Both these upgrades are free, using the same license key that you already have.

Hi Cris, and thank you. I did indeed set it to automatic. I have updated to 2008 on my main pc with no problem as you said. I installed 2008 on my second pc and it will not allow me to register it. I only have the 30 day trial. When I enter my key, it says: This key is for another product. So tell me something I don't know!! Any further advice please? Many thanks, Peter (lestermusic-uk)0 -
