Not sure what version you’re using but you can manually update the virus definitions by logging on and selecting downloads. The complexities of the latest version update will require tweaks and periodic maintenance. This is unavoidable and will not compromise your security. Hang in there

What happens now is that AutoUpdate button goes OFF when update is running, then goes ON by itself again when update is finished.
Do you have the Auto Pilot turned on?
The issue with the update button will be solved in a future product update, but it should not reproduce on Auto Scan.

i' m having similar issues with auto update going off by itself when update checking start on auto pilote.The result is even if update is found it is not dowloaded.I have to do it manually and push auto update on while checking in progress in order to have the files dowloaded.Also it seems that i receive often the same update dowload twice or more.when will this be fixed?
A product update was released. Your build should be 16.23.0.1637(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).
In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).
