Bdts2013 Just Doesn't Install Right

Options

I am just about at the end of my patience with this program. No icon-Security Center warnings- bitdefender services are loading. These are all the things I get from this program and I just don't have time for it anymore. I went through my registry and deleted all registry keys and there were a few from another security suite I had installed previously. I have no other security products installed so I just think this program does not function properly on x64 Windows 7 machines. I don't have time to continuously mess around with fixing my security product for all these little stupid irritating problems like the icon disappearing off and on and the security center warnings when you can see that bdagent is running in TM. HELP!! or just tell me to trash it because I'm at the end.

  • If you absolutely know that BD is running you can turn off them annoying popups and notification by

1 go to the control panel

2 go into system and security (Action Center if you have icons)

    3 go to Action Center

    4 Click security

5 the drop down list offers to turn off different features

6 choose the ones that are annoying you (usually firewall, spyware protection, internet security)

I only recommend this if you know what you are doing, since if your BD product expires and you don't realize it, Windows will not inform you that you aren't protected. You can use this as a temporary solution until a tech guy comes around to reply. hope this helps

I am well aware that you can turn that off but don't you believe there is a reason that is happening? It has only happened with this security suite my friend and I have run a few. The sad part of this is BD is a top notch scanning engine that doesn't miss very much malware but the way it runs in conjunction with Windows leaves a lot to be desired. When I'm not receiving this notice I get "Bitdefender is now loading services, please wait". You see what I mean. Lots of workarounds like the one you presented but I'd like a permanent fix.

yeah thats why i stated its just a quick fix, id wait for a tech guy to answer this... BD 2013 seems to have alot of bugs in it.. idk if ill renew my license after its finished.. Norton was so much simpler

That is what I was using too. I have 2 years left on this and close to a year on the Norton. I don't know what's wrong with me playing musical security suites. Oops, better watch what I say. They will for sure use that statement as blame to why things are going wrong. lol!! No, I go through my registry and delete all rogue entries leftover from security software to be sure it's all gone..
