How To Disable Or Get Through Bitdefender Cloud Protection?

I go to a site that I've been using for a long time. All of a sudden now I get this big sign from Bitdefender Cloud security trying to stop me from going to it. Even when I click "I understand the risks, take me there anyway", it still won't let me go through (what's even the point of that button then?). I try ending the .exe for Bitdefender but it tells me access is denied and I can't (Windows 7). I can't find any options specifically listing it. I try turning off the four groups on the interface; still doesn't work. Is this also why I have issues where a web site will say "thanks for downloading" or something but my download link never comes up? How do you get past this/get rid of this?

I'm on the verge of just uninstalling BD 2013. There's a point where security becomes harassment.

  • Hi rann89, and welcome :)

If you could please provide the link to the web page you're trying to access, so we can investigate this on our PCs too. Do you also have the link for the website you get the download error with too, please. The one may need to be reported as a "False Positive" on this forum: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showforum=138

Also, what browser are you using, and have you tried another browser, especially for the download issue?

You can try disabling http scanning and see if that helps temporarily: Antivirus/Settings/Shield/Modify/Traffic Scan and un-check scan HTTP traffic, or add it to the Privacy settings, Whitelist.

Thanks for the information you can provide :)

    Kind Regards,

I have the same problem. This website http://cactusquid.com/ is blocked and when I click on "I understand the risks, take me there anyway", it does nothing. I can't access this website even if I add this to the Privacy Whitelist. I can access it if I uncheck "scan HTTP traffic", but I don't want to do that. It does the same thing for Firefox 16.0.1 and Chrome 22.0.1229.94. And I use Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 (last version) on Windows 7 SP1 64 bits Home Premium.

So, if you could at least make the link "I understand the risks, take me there anyway" to work and possibly add a whitelist of websites for the "scan HTTP traffic", it would be really nice, thank you!

    Have a good day.
