Windows 8 - Firewall Vs Bitdefender Conetention

I have had all sorts of strife with Windows 8, windows defender and bitdefender, resulting in several re-installs and eventually a return to w7 :wacko: . I did not realise the product I have does not have a firewall, and in W8 it doesn't recognize bitdefender correctly, the actions centre continues to report no protection and windows defender which instals to cover the firewall gap seems to compete for resources. Also going back to a restore point with Bitdefender active wont work so have to uninstall then the restore point part reinstals and creates more drama...


Wish I never W8, and wish I had Bitdefender with Firewall so I dont have the Windows defender drama. Can I pay to upgrade or something?

    The issue that you have reported has been acknowledged by our team and is currently being worked on for a fix. The fix will be done by means of automatic update and won't require any additional action from your part. Please rest assured that we will let you know about the fix as soon as we will launch it.


    These is a miscommunication between the product and Action Center. If you don't see any warnings in the main window, the product is functioning properly.
