Bitdefender 16.24.0.1682

Same for me on my Win 8 x64 system. I've tried clean uninstalls and reinstalls, and nothing works. As soon as BD updates to Build 16.24.0.1682, the problem returns. The issue seems to be related to the on-access scanner; disabling it makes the problem go away. I've found that checking the "scan only new and changed files" option under the on-access scanner settings helps alleviate the problem a little bit and makes my system slightly less slow. I'm hoping that Bitdefender investigates this issue soon and fixed it with an update to the build and/or virus scanning engine.

Bitdefender (latest build) prevent my program to start with Windows 8. I must start it manually.

Yes, if I set aggressive, computer is slow but at Normal everything is ok0 -
Hello
There is no need to put the scanner on Aggressive mode. In this mode, the product will also scan all archives and for that, all those files need to be unpacked first. No antivirus can scan archives without unpacking the data.
Also, in Normal Mode if an infected file is discovered in an archive, it will be blocked automatically during the unpacking process.
Aggressive mode is only for hostile environments. Please set the level to Normal and put the product intro Auto Pilot mode.
Thank you!0
