It worked fine before upgrading to BD2013 I think; Windows Troubleshooting is useless other than to tell me Homegroup is being blocked by non-Microsoft firewall, presumably BD.
Setup is thus: Mac desktop connected directly to DSL modem via Ethernet cable. W7 64 bit home premium connects wirelessly to modem as part of homegroup.
I used to be able to stick extra Ethernet from Mac desktop into W7 laptop and it would appear under "Network" in W7 (I was never able to get the laptop to appear on the Mac's desktop).
Now it doesn't work, when I plug it in it does say there is a LAN connection but that's it.
The LAN connection does appear in BD FW control, I set it to Trusted and Home/Office but still the device never appears.
NB: I also began having problems around the time I installed a DirecTV to watch streaming video, under Network there does appear the "device" NDS PCShow if that could possibly be the problem.
