Remove Anti Spam Bar From Outlook Express

I am running Bitdefender 2013 with the 16.24.0.1682 build and I want to disable the antispam tool bar in my Outlook Express 2003. I am running Win XP sp3

I cannot find how to accomplish this since most posts deal with OE 2007 or 2010. I don't use the antispam features and BD is slowing down the closing of OE dramatically. In fact much of OE's overall response time is slowed. any help is appreciated

The BD spam toolbar in Outlook is a COM Add-in,

To view and disable COM Add-ins in Outlook 2003, navigate to:

“Tools->Other->Advanced Options->COM Add-ins…” and uncheck the Add-ins you do not need.
