Slow Internet Connection

hi..im a new user of bit defender.only yesterday i have installed total security 2008. its working fine, but the problem is that i found my internet connection has become extremely slow and also downloading has become almost impossible. I dont understand whether its because of the strong security chek-ups done by bd or because of something else. Before i was a consistent user of McAfee, and didnt face such kinda probs. Few of my colleagues told me that they have faced the same prob when they used to use bd.


Please help me out cause i dont wanna remove my new programme..

    I recommend that you first take a look at this topic. It could be that there are still be leftovers of Mcafee that causing the internet problem. I recommend that you download the specific mcafee uninstall tool and follow the further instructions in that topic. You can try this also unplug the power cable of your modem for 30 seconds put the main power cable back in. Some isp have download and upload limits once you exceed them you are automatically being set on a lower download and upload speed.
