Total Security 2013

Recently purchase BD total security 2013 and it seems to be runnig fine on my windows 7 system if a little slow on startup. However i installed it also on my sisters dell inspiron running xp and it has slowed down completely. It now takes like 4 minutes for her laptop to startup and once open it takes forever for firefox to open with no other programs running.Any suggestions would be helpful. Not sure what other info ye might require so please llet me know and i will do my best.

You may want to confirm that your sisters Dell XP meets at least the minimum system requirements, as with Total Security could be taxing her system if she's not more in the Recommend system requirements. see also link on left side of web page: http://www.bitdefender.com/solutions/total-security.html

Thanks Columbo, i have given back her laptop for the present but from what i can remember of the specs i suspect that the RAM is way too low as i think she only has just 1gb ram and also it is an intel centrino processor single core. It is windows xp sp3 32 bit.

If the Bitdefender product that you chose is not compatible with your sister's PC we can offer you in exchange a license key for a product which is perfectly compatible. This does not require other cost from your side. Of course that it will have the same number of virus signatures as the one that you initially chose, it is just that she will not have access to certain features. You will keep Bitdefender 2013 installed, while your sister will have another Bitdefender version - both of you will still use the same license key.
