Bitdefender Internet Security Blocking Windows Update

I am currently running Bitdefender Internet Security 2013. The firewall keeps blocking Windows update in Windows 7. When I turn off the firewall Windows update works great.

Why would a Internet Security program block Windows update? makes no sense at all.

Hello rsinger23 and welcome!

A product update was recently released. Your build should be 16.27.0.1763 (please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

Please let me know if your Windows 7 could search for new updates afterwards.
