I’ve been using PrivaZer , a PC cleaner and privacy tool, for quite some time. I’ve never had any problems with Privazer and I like it very much.
After purchasing a new Windows 8 laptop and reading wonderful reviews about BitDefender AV, I decided to try BitDefender Free AV. After two days of using it, I’ve had very strong intentions to purchase BD Windows 8 AV.
I was really happy with BD Free AV until I decided to install my favorite Privazer. My 5-day old Win 8 laptop crashed. I contacted Privazer to tell them about my issues. They advised me to wait, just in case, two more days for a new Privazer upgrade (Privazer customer service is the best). Two days later, I downloaded and installed a new version of Privazer. As soon as I tried to run it, my Win 8 crashed again.
The message on the blue screen said, "Page fault in nonpaged area avckf.sys". I’ve googled “avckf.sys” and found out that it was an Active Virus Control Kernel Filtering driver for BitDefender.
I’ve uninstalled BitDefender AV (without any problems) and went back to Avira AV. As soon as BD was uninstalled and Avira AV was installed, I ran Privazer. NO ISSUES. NO PROBLEMS.
I also got a response from Privazer’s Team saying about a lot of issues with BitDefender 2013 AV.
I truly wanted to “love” BitDefender but those nasty little bugs proved to me that BD is not ready for my computers.
