Port Scan Blocked

Hi.

for some reason during the past couple of days I keep getting a warning that port scan was blocked.

it was coming from a remote IP

209.18.48.61

and

209.18.47.62

I think it happens when I open internernet explorer, but not really sure.

I have installed dropbox, icloud, picasa and tried crash plan and not too sure if any of these would be a problem.

I also linked google tablet and have it all sync to my pc.

I don't know where to start. any ideas.

hum, actually I think its time warner cable, is it normal to get a port scan alert from them?

Are these your DNS servers, by any chance.

Bitdefender is producing the same for me, frequent from my primary dns server, occasional from my secondary one. It appears (as ONT points out) that this is an issue that has been around for years, and that despite several claims from Bitdefender to have fixed it, still persists.

Up to date Bitdefender 2013 trial (not very encouraging to move to full product). Windows 8.
