    Because they've been such a good AV for so long, including one of 2011 years runner up, I'm just glad they received the recognition they deserve.

    Excellent news.....as I always expect from Bitdefender....... Since the developers has achieved the goal of maximum protection/detection offered by their esteemed product with innovative technologies, so now kindly also focus on to design it for Advanced Users as well.

    Excellent job, HOWEVER, BitDefender Internet Security (1-Month Trial) 2013 basically stopped my laptop from operating due to unknown reasons. It stopped/disabled the following:


    1) Wireless WAN


    2) Bluetooth


    3) USB ports


    4) Downgraded my Intel HD4000 driver (?)


    5) Fingeprint log-on


    I reinstalled ALL drivers, no help. Then I decided to uninstall BitDefender itself, and it failed. I tried from Control Panel, then I downloaded that uninstaller exe, still nothing.


    Irony? I was about to purchase BitDefender lifetime option for 1 PC.


    End result - had to reinstall my machine with genuine Win 8 PRO.


    BTW on the side note, I had similar problems with genuine AVAST antivirus, and after talking to their support team, they admitted they do have issues with some modules of AVAST so they adivsed to turn on Windows Defender/Firewall.


    Sorry guys, but I don't think BitDefender is quite yet ready for Win8 PRO. I wish somebody could prove me wrong. Be my guest. I used to be a Bit Defender customer for some time, now I'm in the crossroads.

    Hi,


    Best product for users and PCs is the one which run without problems and user knows it better.


    I use BD since 2009 and never had major issues or malware/viruses attacks thanks to BD protection.


    So, a big BRAVO to BD developers!!!


    As for award, this is one more (meaningless) award, like the one that all competitor companies have.

    You had been voted back onto the island :D ...but please, maybe dial down the support jabs once in awhile. We all here know about it, and those seeking support hopefully can get ours (yours too :) ) help the best we can, until/while BD hopefully tries to upright their support ship ^_^ No, I am not a moderator, don't mean to sound like one ^_^

    I actually should do just that. As I did with AVAST. I myself being a developer hate to see my code breaking or destroying something else, especially if I product a ghost bug ;) LEt's see what they say as I'm really inclined to getting a Bit Defender instead of any other antivirus. But before anything else, they should have a 100% bulletproof uninstall procedure.
