Is 2008 Not Detecting Eicar Test.

For some reason my IS 2008 is not detecting any of the Eicar test files here today.

It was working last week. The interface has all green ticks, indicating that the scanner is working. Also, known sites that Bitdefender would block because of say "Forced Popup" are not being detected either. Anyone else getting these results?

Hello Nautilus,

Try to restart your computer and see if the problem gets fixed. If it doesn't work, make a Repair installation of BitDefender.

I have BD TS and it works correctly, so this is not a general problem. Something must have gone wrong on your computer.

Works for me using BD internet security 2008. The program detected it in a double zip file as I tried to download. Well done!

I'm on the first day of a trial - and it detected the Eicar test file of all types, including the double zip HTTPS. I'm impressed.
