Can't Run Application

Options

I use an accountant that requires I send information via a tax organizer. The organizer has always worked for me in the past but I can not install it since I installed bitdefender 2013 Total Security. The error code I get specifies that there is a firewall or some sort of antivirus program that is blocking a correct installation (All I use is Bitdefender!)

Please tell me how I can completely disable Bitdefender total security 2013 without doing a complete uninstall. I have used this product for many years and this is a new problem that appears to be caused by BitDefender.

    Hi keithnet, and welcome :)

Just a question that may help myself and others here to try to resolve this for you.

Did you previously run and use this software in the past as an .exe type file organizer software? Or is it a online type of tax organizer?

If it was already on your PC, you would need to add it to exclusions, which can be found below. Try starting with the 1st one and working down. (some find the last one works 1st)

If it's something that needs to be re-downloaded and installed with Bitdefender disabled, you can try it through Safe Mode with Networking, restart your PC, and if needed, add it to Exclusions, or creating a Firewall rule.

Follow up with us as needed :)

Add to Exclusions for both Processes and Files/Folders as columbo suggested. And if this fails also try to change the level of IDS and AVC, or turned them OFF and then execute the desired program.

I added it to exclusions and it now works. Thanks
