Screen Garbled With Vista And Antivirus 2008

I just installed BitDefender Antivirus 2008 on a clean copy of Vista Ultimate. The installation went well and it seems to be working.

However, clicking on Settings on the main page brings up a garbled screen where the settings should be. Text is misplaced or absent, checkboxes are all absent, etc. Needless to say, it is impossible to navigate.

What should I do?
