Bd Chokes My Computer
Hello.
I've become BD user recently and I have a big problem with BD choking my computer. I've red some forum post about it (BD Forum) but there is no solution to the problem. The problem is that BD radomly choke my computer so much that it becomes unworkable. As I see in task manager BD is using almost 50% of my HDD. After some time it stops but it last about 15 min, and happens 2-3 times a day.
I've run BitdefenderSupportTool.exe in time of choking and also made screenshot of my task manager. So if you can help me I would appreciate it.
*Update*
In the mean time I had problems runing my PES 2013 and C&C RA3. Same thing on boath games, after dubleclicking game exe nothing happens. I've tried running as admin, running in compatibility mode with both win7 and win xp sp3 (I forgot to mention that I'm currently using win8 x64) but always the same thing. After uninstalling BDTS 2013 everything worked perfectly.
So I've paid $70 for 2 weeks of problems.
Does anyone have solution for the problem.
Christian do I have to resend you support tool logs?

Thanks for your help.
I've paid $70 for few weeks of misery and this is certainly last product purchased from bitdefender.0 -
Any Antivirus was installed previously, if yes how did you uninstalled it? Whats your system specs? What were your Bitdefender settings?

Clean install of windows 8 x64, I haven't had any other antivirus installed. Spec's are:
Kingston DDR3 667MHz (667x2=1333), 4GB
WD 500GB, Serial SATA, 64MB Cache
ASUSTek Computer INC P8B75-M
Intel Core i5 - 2400 CPU @3.10GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX550 Ti, 1GB
Microsoft Windows 8 Media Center Edition 6.2.9200
BD was in autopilot mode, since installation I've only added one folder to av exception and no other changes were made.0 -
Disable AutoScan, I doubt that Bitdefender have some trouble with some processor types.

I have the same problem, can be in the middle of doing something important and BD kicks in and uses most of the resources,
I have disabled the Vunerability scan which helps a bit, is there anything else that I can safely disable, if I disable the Autoscan is that a bit iffy? Combine this problem with endless updates which require a reboot (up to my 6th reboot today) and my patience with BD is wearing thin.0 -
I remember that some days ago i also experience such situation in which suddenly my PC and Laptop hangs for sometime and then everything becomes normal. Upon troubleshooting I found the culprits that are AVC and Automatic Update. Major is the later. Whenever my system was hanged, Bitdefender updates were running. So I switch OFF the automatic updates, and now update Bitdefender once in two days. The surprising thing is that in the Task Manager, there is no indication of so much resources consumed by Bitdefender, but in reality whenever the update run, system hangs or its performance declined a lot.
