I keep getting one after another pop ups saying the Bit Defender Security service has stopped working... I submit a report, it pops up 5 minutes later... (Using IS2012). I can't even open the .dmp files to see whats wrong

    Please let me know if the issue persists with the latest build version 16.28.0.1789


    (right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).


    In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

    Similar problem here....


    Getting one after another pop ups (every 5 minutes) saying "Bitdefender Security Service has encountered a critical error!"


    Using Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013 with the build version 16.29.0.1830, on Windows 8 x64bit.

    Hello jaki, thank you for reporting this issue.


    In order to be able to investigate the crash, please tell me when does the error 'Bitdefender Security Service has encountered a critical error' appear: at each start-up, when you launch a certain program, before shutting down the computer, etc.? Basically, I need to know if it can be associated with any action performed on that computer.


    I will also need a support tool where you managed to reproduce the situation. For this please run the support tool application either from this location:


    C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2013\supporttool.exe


    or by accessing the link below:


    http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...SupportTool.exe


    1) You will have to right-click on it and select Run as Administrator;


    2) Click on Next and enter your details. Check the box 'Try to reproduce the issue before submitting'


    3) Click on Finish when the gathering logs is complete.


    4) An archive (BDSP_*)will be created on your desktop. Please attach it in a reply to this message together with details about when does the crash occur and I will get back to you as soon as the analysis is done.


    If the log is too big to attach, upload it on http://www.sendspace.com or http://www.mediafire.com and post the download link.


    If you were already asked to generate these logs, disregard the above message and just post the ticket ID.

    Error appear approximately 5 minutes after each Windows start-up, and keep getting (every 5 minutes) one after another pop up saying "Bitdefender Security Service has encountered a critical error!". I submit a report but it pops up 5 minutes later, until at some time Bitdefender goes gray "Services not responding."


    No programs running (as i can see from tray only Catalyst Control Center graphic card application and Bloody2 mouse application).
