Bitdefender Crashes Firefox

Hi all.

4 days ago I installed Bitdefender for the first time. Ever since then, firefox crashes after 10 minutes or so. I have version 18.0.2. I have a 2nd window operating with a different identity profile & a few extensions & user scripts going for my game. These are fine, they have never been a problem. It is no coincidence since installing Bitdefender that now these crashes occur. Can anyone tell me the steps i need to take to rectify this situation? Thanks.

I am running FF v.17 on about 3 PCs without any consistent crashing issues (I had 1 last week, but that's been about it).

You could also try the FF v.19 beta, and see if that version is more stable with Bitdefender. If you absolutely wanted to figure out v.18, you could list what FF plugins and extensions you have on that Bitdefender PC, so that others here may be able to help troubleshoot what the possible issue could be. i.e. what game are you running?

In the past I have had Firefox crash due to bad Adoble Flash updates. May not apply in your situation. I am using Firefox 19.0 now beta 5. To my recollection I have never had a Firefox crash since installing BD W8 Security on three W8 Pro x64 computers 35 days ago.

i upgraded to Firefox beta 5 & still no luck. I play Kingdoms of Camelot through facebook. My extensions are Greasemonkey 1.7.1 & Multifox 1.3.5. Usersripts are KOC Power Bot 20130120g & KOC Throne Room Organizer 20130202a. If I cant get this fixed in the next few days I am going to delete Bitdefender.
