Using 2013 Key For An Older Product?
Can I use my new Internet Security 2013 keys to activate Internet Security 2012 and older products?
And does that really well for all 2013 keys or are there exceptions for keys acquired during a promotion campaign?
I only know it from other manufacturers that their keys can also be used easily for older versions.

Hi wikking, and welcome
In general, yes, you can use the same 2013 Security Suite key with the 2012 version of the Security Suite and visa versa (i.e. like kind for like kind). As far as a promotion key being keyed only for the 2013 version, I'm not sure about that one, yet I think it wouldn't matter?
You can try installing the 2012 version, and adding the key...but the 2013 version does have some nice features compared to the 2012 version, see lower part of link, for New and Enhanced: http://www.bitdefender.com/solutions/internet-security.html

Hello,
@wikking : You can use a 7-digit license key generated for Bitdefender 2013 to register Bitdefender 2012 and 2011. If your Bitdefender product came with a 20-digit key, then you can use it to also register older versions (2010, 2009, etc.).
If you are interested in an older Bitdefender version as your PC doesn't meet the requirements for the latest product, please send me a PM with your current key and the Bitdefender product you want to use and we will replace your key free of charge.
Please feel free to post any additional questions about your Bitdefender license key.0
