Virus Protect

I joined this forum to learn how I might rid my self of this virus protect disease. I beleive I deleted program from control panel add or remove programs, but the pesky icon shield shaped creature , stays located next to clock in sys tray bar. I have been on internet and most sites would like me to purchase their fix.

Question I have, isn't this type problem what bit defender is supposed to correct?

Maybe it has, already and just pesky icon is left. The clowns that made this devil need to have the butt-stock of a M1 grand rifle applied sharply to the bridge of their nose. That I would enjoy very much.

Anyway, any help you folks can give would be appreciated. I can always reformat (sweep clean) HD and begin anew. But was hoping that this was a common occurance and therefore a practical solution

I had not seen this in past posts, but I could have missed it.

Please download smitfraudfix. Don't double click on it yet. Save it on your desktop. Restart now your computer by press several times on the F8 button before the windows loading screen. Select safe mode press enter. Log in with your account. Double click now on SmitfraudFix. You will see a credits screen just press any button. Now press on number 2 on your keyboard press enter. You will see a screen with Do you want to clean you registry press y and press enter. You will see a red screen with the message Computer will reboot now. Close all applications press on the spacebar of your computer.
