    Hi pawel :)

Did you try the Direct Download link? http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=27870

I just downloaded the AV+ with no problem, as well as the 2012 Suite I installed recently. When you install it, just be sure to deny it checking for new updates, just to be sure (it can be manually updated after the install)

  • Hi,

in my case direct link doesn't work unfortunately. I always get an error 'one or more files could not be downloaded' at the end of installation process and it shuts down. Only installing through the install tool works. I tried it already with both 2012 and 2013 version. I have 2013 installed on 2 pc's but this time I need 2012 as the web based parental control in 2013 stopped working completely and I wanted to change to the desktop one built in 2012 version.

Thank you for your reply, anyway.

    Hello :)

I see. Maybe something in this KB article would help? http://www.bitdefender.com/support/how-to-...-issue-886.html

Also, try running CCleaner in cleaner mode before trying the next download, or a different browser, say Chrome?

I know what you mean about the on-board Parental Control of the 2012 version, I like it that way too, in it not being web based.

  • Thank you for your help. I'll try it at some point and let you know the outcome.

  • Hello again,

so finally I have decided to install BDIS2013 again but on a different machine, with Windows 8. W8 system has a very nice parental control built-in module; simple, intuitive and efficient so I do not need BD parental control utility for the moment. I must admit that on W8 desktop PC BDIS2013 runs surprisingly well.

Thank you for a nice conversation.

    Hi pawel :)

I'm glad you came up with a resolution. I didn't even know about Windows 8 Parental Controls, until you mentioned it. In doing a quick look on a website, it looks really nice.

I like how you put this, Thank you for a nice conversation :D

It's been a pleasure conversing with you :)

No offense or anything, but I find it extremely frustrating that Bitdefender "Internet Security 2012" cannot be installed successfully onto a Windows 7 64-bit home edition computer.

It seems like lots of people are having issues installing this piece of software, along with other titles.

Bitdefender, get your stuff together, because this is the first piece of software in 15 years that I couldn't install.

Please help me resolve these issues, if possible.
