Vmware Workstation 9, Bitdefender Sphere 2013

I have the same problem, but i'm using Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 and VMWare Workstation 9

Is this patching still needed?

VMware Workstation 9, Bitdefender Sphere 2013. Same problem - Firewall prevent VMWare bridge work. My goal is to connect VMWare guest by VPN over internet.

Once i turn firewall OFF all goes fine, but even with lots of permissions and no visual restrictions firewall seem to cut off VMware traffic.

Yeap. Stealth was turned off for both listed VMnet1 and VMnet8 (NAT and Subnet). VMnet0 a.k.a. Bridge is not listed there. To be sure stealth also turned off for LAN(an intel gigabit card).

Windows firewall as disabled, there fore internet connection sharing enabled.
