Wifi Printer & Firewall
I installed Internet Security 2013 for first time, and immediately found that my network WiFi printer would not print. I followed suggestions in the forum, but was unable to get printer to print. I had to unistall Bitdefender, and then all my printing jobs went to the printer. Please advise

What is the printer model? Did you try to Allow the printer IP in the Firewall Adapter Rules?

HP 8600 OfficeJet Pro. Yes, I allowed the printer IP in the Firewall Adapter Rules, but still would not work. The minute I uninstalled Bitdefender, the printer started up to print queue. What is the printer model? Did you try to Allow the printer IP in the Firewall Adapter Rules?0 -
Hi willieandme
Try this, go into Firewall settings and enable Paranoid mode, restart your PC and try running another print job, to see if you get a pop up to allow the printer.
Otherwise, confirm that you used this link, to enable exclusions: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=35502

Use the product in User Mode and also turn ON the Paranoid Mode to manually allow the Rules and Exclusions and then re-connect the printer.

lol, hopefully we aren't going to overwhelm you willieandme, but just in case...if you're using a wireless printer, please see if turning Stealth Mode to off helps (main UI Firewall panel/Manage Adapters/Stealth Mode): http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=147910 taken from this Pinned topic: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=35496

I enabled Paranoid mode, however, I never got the pop-up. I finally got the printer to work by going to Firewall Rules, Adapter Rules, and giving IP address of printer permission. All is ok now. Thank you. I wonder why this was not set automatically in Auto-Pilot mode.Hi willieandme
