How do I completely de-activate bitdefender, to allow a software to properly install from a DVD?

There is no exe that can be identified.

The vendor of the software I am trying to install said my install needs to be repaired. Something must be blocking the proper install.

I have Bitdefender AV Plus 2013

As you probably realized, there is no "right click" option to turn off all services, but here is what you can do.

First, disable AV as shown here: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=39510 then, just to be sure, continue in those settings (AV) go to Exclusions, and from the drop down options, disable Scan CD/DVD devices. Please correct the adjustments after you hopefully get your software installed.
