Registration Name

Hello,

In BD it says product registerd to: my name, but unfortuanly I must have mistyped it, so it's registered to a mispelled name. Is there anyway to change it in Bit Defender? I've changed it online to my account, and BitDefender Support is no help. I know it's not a big deal, but the name being spelled name really annoys me, maybe if I can edit the registery or some other method that would change it!!! Thank you for your help.

If you change a registry value then you will only see your name correctly in BitDefender and not on the website. I suggest that you contact customer service : http://www.bitdefender.com/liveassitance.html

Thank you for the quick response back. The only problem is that I don't know how to change it in the registry, I don't know which key it'd be under. Any ideas where to start looking, thank you!!

I searched the registry but I couldn't find a key where the registration name and licence key is located. I suppose that your name will be correct if you uninstall BitDefender and reinstall but don't make a new account. It could be that they sort that kind of information in a .dat file. The only problem is that you can't open a .dat file. Glad that I could help you.

For me that isn't the case. During the installation you have to manually enter your name.
