Bitdefender's Security Widget

Hello, I am new here, and I wasn't sure where to post this question. Anyone may feel free to move this thread to the right location of this Forum.


I tried searching online to see what are the four different displays on the security Widget in BitDefender Antivirus Plus 2013. I could not find specific answers anywhere. I was wondering what the glowing blue, light magnify glass means. I wasn't sure if the magnify glass indicates a scan in progress or an update in progress. Does anyone have any answers as to what each of the four displays and the magnify glass mean? I appreciate any help in advance.

    Hi Spankolla, and welcome :)


    Yes, you are right, the magnifying glass icon in the (formally, Security Watchdog) Security Widget is showing a scan is in progress, and the spinning blue orb of an update occurring. A helpful resource on this can be found ion the bottom of the main BD console, Help and Support->Bitdefender Help (help manual)->Bitdefender interface->Security Widget. Which will also give you more information about this helpful tool :)
