    Hi haz, and welcome :)

Try these firewall settings, and see if that helps: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=35496

Please let us know your results.

    For your Favorities, follw this

    1. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the C:\Users\(Account/User name)\Favorites folder and open it.

    2. To Export Favorties in Windows Explorer

2-a) Select the favorites (internet shortcuts and/or folders) that you want to export, then copy and paste them into a new folder (named what you like).

2-B) This new folder is your exported favorites. Save it to desired location.

And for your actual error not to access the IE, do you mean that IE can't be opened or you can't browse anything with it? Try to use the Product in User Mode and also turn ON Paranoid Mode. This will help you to allow the IE Rules for Firewall manually. If this also wont help, then post here the screen shot of the error.

That is a good idea, too. To do this, go into Settings (Firewall/settings) and for Alert Intensity, enable Paranoid mode, restart your PC, and try accessing the internet via IE, and see if you get a firewall pop up notification to allow it.

    Hello haz,

    Thank you for your feedback.

I see ONT already asked you this question. It's actually important to know if:

A ) you are unable to start your Internet Explorer browser (what exactly happens when you try to launch the program ? does any error message comes up when you run "iexplore.exe"? If yes - please post a screen shot of the error )

    or

B ) Internet Explorer starts successfully, but you can not browse/ access any Internet webpage through it?

Please post back and let us know so we can find the right solution for you. Thank you!

For disabling Windows Defender completely, turn it OFF from the Control Panel and also from Services, just locate the Windows Defender Service and first "Stop" the Service Status and then "Disabled" the Start-up type.
