Firewall Striping Low Level Packet Info - Breaking Programs

Since the weekend I've had troubles with all the computers in the office not being able to send information using http://www.medical-objects.com.au/. It's used to securely send medical info back and forth to the doctors.

I got their (NO) techs to work on the problem and they finally came up with the culprit as Bitdefender. As BD has been installed for a while I didn't think so until I was forced to uninstall BD and everything started working perfectly.

Did BD get an update over the weekend that may be stripping out low level packet information even when everything (I mean everything) in BD Internet Security 2013 is OFF??

Yes I did add exceptions for the program.

They are sending me some technical information that I'll add to this thread when it arrives.

I just wanted to get the ball rolling.

Thanks all!

  • Well I've been informed that MO (Medical objects) are working with Btidefender to find a solution.

So hopefully I'll have a solution soon.
