Product Installed But Will Not Launch
I recently purchased and downloaded Bitdefender Antivirus 2013. At one point in the download, there was an error message in trying to download a file. I was given the option to reattempt which I did. Eventually, the process was completed and I was informed that installation was successful. An initial scan was automatically done which revealed no viruses. But to my dismay. my computer slowed dramatically to the point that it was virtually impossible to get anything done. This was even after the program was done scanning. I tried restarting the computer and performance was the same. I wanted this program off my computer and my money back. I tried uninstalling but was very quickly informed that this was unsuccessful and told to restart my computer and try again. I restarted and computer performance was now normal. But when I try to launch Bitdefender, I get the message that it is unavailable. My windows XP control panel tells me that the antivirus program is on. But it's not working. But if it was working, I wonder if this would slow my computer down again. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
