Any Upgrade Options?

Are you able to upgrade a product you've bought or do you have to just purchase the new product? I have Antivirus 2008 but would now like Internet Security 2008.

If I do have to buy a new product will a simple uninstall of the old software be adequate or do I need to do something more in depth to avoid errors?

ah never mind found an upgrade option in my account but it's actually substantially cheaper to buy what I want from a reseller than it is to upgrade.

It depends. I recently upgraded my BD license to BDIS and before doing so I contacted customer services to see what where my options since I still had almost 2 years left on my license and didn't want to lose it. They told me to go ahead and buy BDIS at the upgrade price and to then recontact them and they would transfert my old license, minus some days. So I bought a one year license for BDIS, wrote back with the license I got from the purchase, and they gave me a new license number for BDIS with an additional year on it.

You might want to contact them if that becomes cheaper than your reseller.

I went ahead and bought from the reseller last night.

3 user, 2 year BDIS licence direct from BitDefender would have been £45.95.

I paid the reseller £21.95, so I doubt they could have beaten that price anyway to be honest. My BDAV licence was 1 user, 1 year.
