Open For Attack During The Installation?

When I try to install BitDefender, it takes a long time for download and installation, but during this periods, there is no anti-virus or firewall existed, will my computer open for attack during this installation process?


Is there any link to download BitDefender file before installation? so my computer will not have any potential security issues for downloading file during the installation process.


Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi oem, and welcome :)


    For the extra security you're looking for, you can download the .exe file from here, and run the set up disconnected from the internet. When Bitdefender asks to check for new files during install, deny it, and get the updates after the install when your reconnected to the internet.


    Be sure to uninstall any previous AV with the proper uninstall tools, that link is included in the .exe download link above.
