Internet Security No Longer Alerts "issues To Fix"

Up until about one week ago the "B" icon in sys-tray changed color based on days elapsed since last update.

ie,

Orange

-- early warning,

Red

-- crucial

Now the "B" icon is always white. The icon no longer changes color, as last update slips into several days late. (on one occasion it was 4 days overdue)

ALSO the "There are xx issues to fix" never shows any text other than "There are no issues to fix", even when "Update jumbo icon" displays "4 days"

Have there been any modifications by updates to alter BD tracking?

So far, there has been no changes from what I see. I would also like to ask if there has been any software modifications on your PC? Or perhaps a new software installation?

In a word ... none !

I control and diary all updates

Even Bitdefender is manually updated at my discretion.

Hello grayghost2,

Please bring up the Bitdefender 2013 interface and go to Settings > General tab > Advanced > Configure Status Alerts > Make sure the switcher for Update status is still turned ON. Otherwise please make the right modification in the list and click Close to validate the changes.

If the issue still persists, then attempt a product repair.

Bingo! ... Solution !

Update Status" was OFF

As soon as I set it to ON, the "B" icon in Notification bar (system tray) is now behaving as expected.

..... eg, Red B icon, "Last update was X days ago"
