Conflicts With Zone Alarm

I have a Zone Alarm Firewall running on my PC. Bitdefender Antivirus will not install unless I remove the firewall; even if I turn off the antivirus portion of Zone Alarm. How do I get around this?

    I take it you are referring to the zone alarm free edition without antivirus or malware scanning functions.


    I would try temporarily uninstalling zone alarm firewall. restart, install bitdefender and then reinstall zone alarm afterwards.


    so you aren't completely without firewall in the meantime, turn windows firewall on but remember to turn it off again once zone alarm is back on your machine. two software firewalls running concurrently will conflict and lead to reduced protection against attack.

    Sometimes when I post something it prompts me to go and something basic that I should have done in the first place.


    I deleted Zone Alarm, installed BitDefender and then reinstalled Zone Alarm. No issues so far.

    Thanks good post, i just found out about zonealarm firewall and installed it with bitedefender antivirus already installed and the two are getting along fine. <img class=" />
