Access To Windows Store (win 8) Blocked By Bd Ts 2013

Hi Bitdefender Support,


- I have a brand new laptop


- Win8, 64-bit, i7 cpu, 16GB ram


- Installed BD TS 2013 trial all good


- Rebooted computer and can no longer use Windows Store as the error message "you are not connected to the internet" appears


- I am able to browse the internet, to run the Windows Update Agent Tool and update the BD TS itself


- I believe it's some rule in the BD TS 2013 firewall I have to tweak to allow Windows Store to connect to the internet and download/update installed Apps


Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same issue and what options one has here to tweak this? :rolleyes:

  • First, you might need to verify if it's really the firewall. Try to turn it off first and see if you can access Windows Store already. That would allow you to save time. smile2.png

  • Well, that would be too easy to come up with;-))) Unfortunately, neither keeping the firewall "ON" nor keeping it "OFF" was able to solve the issue...resetting the Windows Store cache (MS support advice) would not help here as well :wacko:


    All the trouble started after I installed BD TS 2013, as of today I am not able to search for and install any updates via Windows Update Agent Tool <img class=" />


    It's getting me really nervous as it all started after the above mentioned install and I don't see any other options here beside doing a system refresh or even reset (I've already tried most of posted tricks on the net trying to solve these 2 issues without system reset)


    If anyone has positive experience resolving these with BD running normally (firewall "ON"), it would be great to be shared here :rolleyes:
