Internet Rendered Useless

Hello people!

Im using bitdefender total security 2014 (Which im hoping this is the correct sub section).

I was tinkering with the f/w settings in my BD.

ALl of a sudden i realized i cant use the internet. I switched off the f/w and it works fine..cant seem to pin point what i did wrong.

I tried every known fix on the net...but its to no avail..

Anyone have any idea?

If you can't pin point what you changed, you could try repairing the application. it will reset all settings changes throughout the application to default.

Make sure that the Firewall settings are allowing the PC communication with the internet:

- open Bitdefender, go to Firewall panel and make sure it is turned ON

- click on "Manage adapters" and locate the adapter. It is either Local Area Connection if the device is connected by cable or Wireless Area connection if it is a wireless device

- for this particular adapter please set :

* Network type to Home/Office

* Stealth mode to Off

* Generic to YES

click Close.

Then please check if the connectivity issue persists.
