Chat Encryption?

Hello ive been an bitdefender user quite a while and i always thought the "instant chat encryption" for MSN was a great extra. My question is... and after i checked the new manual a month ago i am not sure if it works for Skype. The manual says it only works with few messengers and specifies MSN. The New bitdefender (This year version) was released after MSN was discontinued. The question is... "it works 100% with the latest Skype version? and if the feature has any changes how it works now and how private is now?"

Also it will be great if the updated user guides for the new product were added and posted on the forums like this topic requested some weeks ago:

Just added a note, please keep this topic for the main question.

There is a user guides thread where you can download PDF files - http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=47027

Not sure about Skype functionality as I don't use it.

Thanks for the link i thought there was a more recent guide. Checking that one it seems they dont support MSN or skype anymore. If it only supports yahoo(one of the less used messengers compared to skype or msn substitutions for msn ims) it blows now.

    Hello preguntonontrack,

Thank you for your feedback. Indeed, the new Bitdefender encrypts instant messaging chat sessions only for Yahoo! Messenger 9 or higher.

Please feel free to open a new thread if you have other questions about Bitdefender.

    Have a great day!
