I'm using an old utility called ExLife. It's an add-on for Outlook. One of it's features is to set up a rule to move attachments to an email to a specific folder and then have it scanned by AV software. It's good for double checking for any attachment problems. I was able to use this before with McAfee and Kaspersky by just entering the path to the their scan engines. The rule would automatically open the scan engine, scan the file, give a report and then close.
I can't seem to figure out what to use in the BitDefender 2008 folder. Would it be uiscan.exe? Here is the Arguments line: C:\Attachments" /autoscan /nosplash /autoexit <FILE>
TIA for any suggestions.
P.S. I know this is redundant as BD 2008 scans the incoming email but I would like to have the double scan option.
