Working Extremely Slowly

So, I just bought the Bitdefender 2014 in that €40 off-offer you had. I had Bitdefender 2013 until now.


Sometime during the removal of 2013 and installation of 2014, my computer crashed to the blue "encountered a problem", and "will restart after having gathered information"-screen that comes with Win 8.....but even after it went to 100% nothing happened, which made me think it crashed and was unresponsive, so I turned off the computer manually, and then restarted.


After I had restarted, the message in the topic title appears when I move the mouse pointer over the bitdefender-icon.


Is the new Bitdefender installed? And if so, why does this message continue to show (it's been more than 30 minutes now).

    Try to use following tool to uninstall http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Downloads/...sumer_paid.html and reinstall again.

  • Just invested in the new Total Security-package....and the same problem I've had for months continued here: The scan only runs at very few files/second, often only in the single digits! This means that the scan started when I went to sleep hasn't finished yet. It's been 8 hours 20 minutes, and it's only about halfway. This is unacceptable. How do I change this?
