I recently moved from AVIRA to Bitdefender because of SAFEPAY.


I would normally (at least once a month) scan my PC in SafeMode with AVIRA's command line scanner. Does Bitdefender also have a command line sanning option?

    They used to have a command line scan tool, but I haven't seen it around lately. Especially on 64 bit systems as I think it might have been a 16 bit program.


    But what do you need this for anyways? Is "right clicking" a file and selecting the option to "Scan with Bitdefender" too complicated for you? :P

    They removed the possibility to run a scan from CMD.


    You will need to run a manual scan from GUI: Antivirus panel -> Scan now.

    Please note that with Bitdefender 2013 (The New Bitdefender included) we removed the possibility to run a scan from CMD.


    You will need to run a manual scan from GUI: Antivirus panel -> Scan now.

    I would take Captain Obvious with a grain of salt, he can be impressive, but also sarcastic (rude) ;)
