Command Line

Options

I recently moved from AVIRA to Bitdefender because of SAFEPAY.

I would normally (at least once a month) scan my PC in SafeMode with AVIRA's command line scanner. Does Bitdefender also have a command line sanning option?

They used to have a command line scan tool, but I haven't seen it around lately. Especially on 64 bit systems as I think it might have been a 16 bit program.

But what do you need this for anyways? Is "right clicking" a file and selecting the option to "Scan with Bitdefender" too complicated for you? :P

    Hiya,

They removed the possibility to run a scan from CMD.

You will need to run a manual scan from GUI: Antivirus panel -> Scan now.

Geez, and I thought my username was Captain Obvious. What exactly did your post add to this conversation besides misinformation?

Sorry Captain Oblivious, no need to be rude, I was only quoting from a post Georgia made, have a word with her about misinformation.

    Hello,

Please note that with Bitdefender 2013 (The New Bitdefender included) we removed the possibility to run a scan from CMD.

Good morning, Rohugh :) Could you provide the direct link to the quote above please, it would save me the search effort. I do remember seeing that one, but would be nice to have that link for future reference.

I would take Captain Obvious with a grain of salt, he can be impressive, but also sarcastic (rude) ;)

I would have looked it up sooner but a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich was more important. :)
