Forgotten product passwords either need a total re-install or contacting support for help.
To uninstall follow this link - http://www.bitdefender.com/support/How-to-...fender-333.html although it seems as if you have already tried to do it but using the uninstall tool is important to remove any traces of Bitdefender before re-installing the product.0 -

Rohugh:
I don't think that there is a removal tool for the new Bitdefender Total Security, unlike previous versions.

Please correct me if I am mistaken. Thanks. Have a great day.

There certainly was one as I have it in my downloads folder but checking on various links to Bitdefender uninstall the link to download the tool is either not working or they have changed the way to do it, like this link - http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Downloads/...sumer_paid.html

Thanks for the additional information. I find it odd that if the uninstaller tool is recommended, that BD does not list it in their uninstall instructions. Is the tool really necessary? Or, should it be used only when
Windows Control Panel (or Revo) can't eliminate BD entirely?
Mystified. Have a great day.

It does list and suggest it be used to remove all traces of BD in the support page -
http://www.bitdefender.co.uk/support/how-t...fender-333.html
The problem I was having yesterday was that the uninstall link in that page (and on a couple of other pages) was not working so I contacted BD and was given the direct link to the tool -

Solved.
There is some registry entries that uninstall tool don't remove.
These entries don't make any reference to Bitdefender.
I need remove it manually in registry.
