What Is This?

hi there. im still having problems here. when the icon shows red sign and stated that i have one issue to be fixed. when im click on start button. they appear to be failed. what happened? virus or what?. thanks for helping . here the picture. and also. when im scanning my hard drive. there is no detected virus or malware but there is some folder when im open it (on hard drive files) some of the folder will be shortcut. wasn't shortcut folder means there is virus? thanks.

That image is a message telling you that " On access scanning " is turned off.

Go to Antivirus > settings and turn on the On Access Scanning.

Judging by the screen shot you attached in the first post it looks like you are currently using Bitdefender 2013.

In this case, I would recommend to uninstall all other security solutions from the computer (if any) and to upgrade for free to the new Bitdefender (2014 edition).

You can find full information regarding the upgrade in this article (a video tutorial will guide you through all the steps of the installation process). Use the same license key to register the product:

thank you georgia. for my another problem when im scanning my external hard disk. there is no sign of virus. but one of the file ( videos(mp4)) will appear shortcut after i played one of the videos. so that means my external hard disk contain a virus? why bitdefender cannot detect?
