Hiya,
The first thing to do is to do a repair.
Go to Control Panel>Programs and Features>Bitdefender>uninstall and click repair. See if that fixes it.0 -

The program gziface.exe is the interface for Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition and not the main engine gzserv.exe. You should be protected even when it is not running (e.g., after you exit it).
I have little knowledge of the particulars for gziface.exe getting corrupt. As far as I know corrupt files are due to disk errors, transmission errors (e.g., download problems), or malware (e.g., virus infections). Thinking it is not the last case, check your disk for errors and try uninstalling and installing a freshly downloaded copy.
Good luck!
p.s. To avoid having your system compromised, download the new copy before uninstalling and the re-install promptly!
p.p.s. You may want to use the unistall tool if you want to be sure about uninstalling completely (I would).0 -
Hi, all,
Thanks for the help! I ran CHKDSK and was then able to "repair." Everything seems to be working OK.
Thanks again!0
