Removing All Buttons And Access

I'm creating this topic for someone who is not tech savvy (and I'm rusty, too), so bear with me.

I gave my sister the last use of BD total security 2013. Hours later, she messages me, asking for help because of this: anekv7.jpg

Her destop should look normal with buttons, and the windows taskbar, but now it looks like this.

There is a new background she did not install, and Windows 8 is not working properly for her at all (the windows button on the keyboard with not even work)

Here are other things I don't recall ever seeing with using BD:TS -- wukqxc.jpg

NOTE: I did not take these pictures, and she is in another state. I/she can not access her logs through windows because of the issues.

    Hi scarletfbl, and welcome.

Thank you for the many revealing photos, they tell me your sister somehow started a BD Rescue Mode Scan and rebooted in rescue mode. She may have chosen that from the drop down options of the main BD Antivirus Scan Now panel. The 4th image "Update error: the server address is not correct", means you have to be ethernet connected to the modem/router to receive virus definition updates.

See if she can X out, close out of, cancel out of all the screens until she gets to the one like in your 1st image. Then click on the navy blue icon with the I in it on the left side it of what looks like a mini Taskbar to exit out. Or right click anywhere on the "desktop" and click the exit box. This will then bring another pop up box with the options of rebooting, or shutting down. Select reboot. Upon reboot she may be shown a boot screen option of Windows, or of BD Rescue Mode, use the Keyboard up and down arrows to select Windows and hit keyboard "enter". She should load into Windows. The next time she restarts her PC, that boot option should be gone, and she will boot into Windows automatically.

    Hope this helps :)
