Bitdefender Internet Security Installer Keeps Windows 8.1 Firewall On!

edited April 2014 in Installation

I just installed Bitdefender Internet Security from about 2 hours

I used online installer of bitdefender internet security and through installation it disabled windows defender but left windows 8.1 firewall on

I thought it will be disabled during installation or through first configuration of bitdefender but after installing is finished, the windows 8.1 firewall still running with bitdefender IS firewall together

Is this normal!!!!!!!

should I disable it manually or it's normal for both to run together !!!?

note : Iam using a fresh installation of windows 8.1 (updated to latest update) and bitdefender is second program to install

I updated bitdefender IS and it asked for restart and every thing looks fine with both firewalls running till now

this is picture from Action Center

PLEASE Technical Support advice me and thanks

  • The Windows Firewall should be OFF.

Sometimes the Action Center miss reports the true status.

You could try running "Repair" for Bitdefender, or, just manually shut down the Windows Firewall .

  • Disable it. It's redundant. And ir could confuse your system when you add/delete firewall rules. smile2.png
