Nag To Activate ... 7 Days After Activation
I am trying to stop Bitdefender nag emails.
I renewed my subscription on 29-April-2014 ... and activated all PCs before the end of April.
Today I received the third email to renew my subscription ... 10 days later!
-----
On 29-April-2014 I renewed my subscription with our local agent "BDAustraila.com"
On the same day I received an email with my activation code for 3 PCs.
I have entered the activation code on two PCs (without rejection), before the end of April.
Today the BIS-2013 window shows 366 days remaining.
Today I received an email threatening me with "FINAL NOTICE" if I don't renew my subscription.
I phoned BDAustralia and they told me to send an email to "customerservice@bitdefnder.com".
So I Forwarded the FINAL NOTICE email to "customerservice@bitdefnder.com" with a covering note
I have already renewed my subscription with bdaustralia.com about a week
ago.
I have also activated all active PCs (only 2 of 3 PCs are active)
That email was returned to me as spam, telling to go to web support ... FAQs > did I find an answer > No > FAQs ... again
When I log onto Bitdefender > My account ... 365 days remaining on my subscription ???
I cannot find an email address for Bitdefender.
FAQs > did I find an answer > click > FAQs AGAIN.
Very frustrating.
Thank you

This message was assembled over two days while I attempted to find ...
1. a BD email address that works
2. a sub-forum that looks like it is active, responses are woefully slow.

Hi AdrianHa
Chat support looks hopeful.
For now I have chosen to ignore BD nag mails, they are costing me serious money ... my time!
I am down-under (Australia) quite often we are out of sync (for opening hours with USA or Europe)
http://www.bitdefender.com/support/consumer.html
... is a circular (go no where link)
Firstly a "Select product (+ 2 other criteria)" window pops up
- select all relative options
- offerings are all irrelevant
- scroll to bottom of page
-----
Cant find a solution for your problem?
"Open an email ticket " link
-----
... and I am back to http://www.bitdefender.com/support/consumer.html ... AGAIN
Select email (link) at top of page
select product (+ 2 other criteria) window ... I already have about 3 times so far
- complete the select product details
... and I am taken to http://www.bitdefender.com/support/interne...activation.html
None of the offerings fit my problem.
I have nothing to fix. Bitdefender have to correct their customer data base (and I cannot do that)
- at bottom of page

AGAIN !
Checking my bookmarks I went through all this nonsense last year with Bitdefender.
I am trying to run a busy consulting business , I don't have time to chase up incompetence.
All BD sub-forums I have looked at are extremely quiet, with several threads completely ignored for weeks on end.
I have decided to ignore Bitdefender nag-mails, if it back fires I will be asking for a refund (as I am entitled under our federal consumer laws)
When BD get their act together the program works well and has for the past 15 months.
I was given a three month bonus when an update wiped out my Win-7 settings.
The program works well ... but BDs admin is very poor. Especially when I have to jump through endless hoops, and get nowhere.0 -
Hi,
The second link I gave you is >> http://www.bitdefender.com/support/contact-us.html <<
Note the difference, it is CONTACT US.html not CONSUMER.
That second link asks for details, email, license etc. and puts you in contact with support.
(From here it defaults to http://www.bitdefender.co.uk/support/contact-us.html )0 -

Thank you AdrianHa for good details
This forum is not very "intuitive" ... to mis-use the word in its true meaning.
The latest "irritation" is I am receiving an email for EVERY new thread, including the avalanche of troll threads. They appear on this forum in blocks of about 6 or 8. Not a good look for an AV organisation.
The only "subscription" settings I can find is "Subscribe to a forum"
A new thread
I only want to subscribe individual threads of my choosing.
Bitdefender Forum > Your control panel ... does not have a listing for emails/subscriptions.
Thank you to all the user/members who have assisted0
